HEY GUYS, IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Let's begin at the beginning.

I've had this journal since 2003, when I was fifteen years old. I'm twenty now, in college, marginally more well-adjusted and certainly a very different person from the girl I was when icybright began (under another name, even!) For the past few years, I've toyed on and off with the idea of packing it up here and starting over with a different LJ - perhaps a decision I've taken a bit too seriously and looked at a bit too long, but whatever. It's been an awful year, but one full of a lot of personal growth and some important new experiences. It seems as good a time as any to listen to that nagging, wanderlusty voice in the back of my head.

With that in mind:

I've been setting things up over there for the past couple of days and I think it looks pretty nice. I'd love to see any and all of you join me, but I also understand if this is the last stop for you.

I watched Hard Candy last night, and was simultaneously disturbed, sickly fascinated, and deeply, deeply impressed with Ellen Page's acting chops and the script writers. What a fantastic, horrible little piece of a film - a play (there are really only two characters) but also a straight up horror film but also a story of sociopathic feminist empowerment?! But it's a little weird watching someone who seems like she could be my fraternal twin torture Patrick Wilson, I tell you what.

Best thing that has happened this weekend: I made the most amazing waffles ever for breakfast today. Cinnamon and brown sugar mixed together and swirled in the batter, with plain yogurt on top with the extra brown sugar mixed in. Omg omg. <333 I will make these every Sunday.

I've also just had coffee! It certainly cheered me up! That and getting off campus, even if it was just for an hour. Also, impromptu Amanda Palmer lip-syncing. Look, I realize I am lame and boring, I embrace it. :/

All I will do is post memes until finals are over, guys. Just...accept it. Love it. Move on. I hate me too!

- went to geology review
- wrote two pages of a ten page paper
- played with the stuffed terrier septacontendor bought. his name is george basil webb.

Things I did today:
- ate breakfast with my parents (real eggs homg) and packed some so they could take most of my stuff home
- wrote eight pages of a ten page paper, which got a little petulant and soap-boxy towards the end. uh, oops?
- realized when I was done that I was too tired to move/go anywhere
- took a nap
- ate dinner
- procrastinated

Things I will do this evening:
- shower
- study geology
- take geology notes

Things I will do tomorrow:
- study geology all day. allllll day.

Some time between tomorrow and Tuesday morning:
- THE EXAM?!!?

I was just explaining about the Avatar casting to my dad on the phone and got ridiculously het up all over again. The only thing I'm really thinking about M.Night's daughter, who wanted to be Katara for Halloween, and there is a horrible taste in my mouth.

And for the record, this girl here is totally my dream Katara. I also might have a humungous girlcrush on her, but, you know, incidental. <3 <3

( Hilariously enough she's also a total activist. Not blowing up Fire Nation factories or anything, though. )
